Southern Ibiza beaches that you MUST visit
If there's one thing in abundance on the island, it's its beaches. There are all kinds of beaches and each one of them has its own charm. Today in our blog we are going to recommend some of the beaches in the south of Ibiza that you can not miss this summer 2019.
And the decision may not be easy. Ibiza, although a relatively small island, has more than 200 kilometres of coastline. You can find hidden and quiet coves, larger beaches to spend the day with the family or curious enclaves where sand is replaced by boulders (or "còdols", as the locals know them).
In our boat trip to Es Vedrà, the cruise will make you enjoy spectacular views and landscapes and you will be able to locate some of the best beaches in Ibiza. For example...
Es Cavallet, freedom within the natural park

One of the best known beaches in the south of Ibiza is undoubtedly Es Cavallet, which is immersed in a natural park of great beauty. Very close to the beach of Ses Salines (which also gives its name to the reserve itself), it is 1 kilometre long and about 40 kilometres wide.
It is the only beach that is officially considered as nudist, it is oriented towards the Levant and its sand is fine and white. A beach in the south of Ibiza that you should at least see once.
Sa Caleta, charm among "casetas varadero" (fisherman's houses)

In the municipality of Sant Josep we find a curious, quiet and beautiful enclave. Curious because it is not really a beach as such (it is an old wharf of native fishermen), quiet because it is usually only crowded by the residents themselves and beautiful because it is for many (and we include ourselves) one of the most beautiful beaches of southern Ibiza.
If you want an experience different from Ibiza's most popular and crowded coves, you should stop by Sa Caleta - you might even meet a fisherman who will explain the history of the "llaüts" (typical Ibizan boats)!
Cala Jondal, music and cuisine

One of the best rated còdols beaches in Ibiza is Cala Jondal. Not only for the quality of its waters, but also for the lively activity in the area (haute cuisine restaurants, beach clubs, ...).
If you want to see a different beach, you have to come here. The boulders may not be as comfortable as the fine sand, but we assure you that what you can find on the seabed of this area is worthwhile...

Porroig, a different landscape

Reaching the westernmost part of southern Ibiza, we find Porroig. This small cove is sheltered in a small bay closed to the sea, is very little frequented by tourists and is a frequent place for anchoring boats.
We consider it to be one of the best beaches in the south of Ibiza due to its picturesque landscape: to get there you have to go down a small cliff and the tranquillity that one breathes once down is difficult to overcome...
Cala Llentrisca, a lonely beach

If you are one of those who seek to flee completely from civilization, this is your place. This cove is very far from the most frequented tourist areas as the road to access it is long and the bathing area is relatively small.
But perhaps that's why Cala Llentrisca deserves to be on our list of beaches in southern Ibiza that you can not miss in 2019, as it is a cove totally different to what we normally find on the island...
