Art and craft markets in Formentera

In May the La Mola Crafts Market and the Sant Ferran Art and Crafts Market open. In both markets, which run until mid-October, you can find samples of handicrafts such as espadrilles, jewellery, textiles, glass work, ceramics, leather, painting and works by artists living on the island.

La Mola Artisan Market
Wednesday and Sunday from 16 to 22 hours in the Pilar de la Mola.

It is the main market of Formentera and has become an important meeting point. In its central square there is usually live music, and its surroundings are animated with terraces of neighboring bars. It was born from a private initiative of various artists and craftsmen and now struggles to maintain the same initial concept: show, sell and promote local crafts. You can find authentic pieces of art and a souvenir of the island with the character that has a handmade piece.

It has established itself as an important meeting place where painters and artists exhibit their art based on the island. Eventually the artists organize children's activities to dynamize and stimulate creativity in the youngest.
